It honestly feels like a whole new world now that it stays light past 4:30 p.m. I find myself thinking, “Wow, there’s so much to do, and I still have daylight to do it!” If you are anything like me, you become a bit of a hermit in the winter, eagerly awaiting for spring to brighten things up.
Daylight Savings is Back
Now that spring has finally returned, here are some ways to enjoy the “newfound” daylight outside. Simply put, just go and do your life outside! Whether that’s taking a book with you, going for a walk or hike with your dog or friends, or playing at a local park, there are plenty of options for you to reunite with daylight and breathe in some fresh air. If you live in a more rural area, you may even have the good fortune of seeing some adorable baby animals who were recently born. My morning commute is often delayed because I visit with the new calves across the street.
Outdoor Adventure Awaits
For larger excursions, check out trails near and far. You may even plan your adventures around where you can see waterfalls as this year’s much needed snow-pack and rainfall is already starting to produce some swift falls. Feeling like playing some organized sports? Check out your local parks and recreation department for youth and adult sports leagues.
